CLIA Reagents of Thyroid (TGAB)
EXPLANATION OF THE TEST
TGAb as thyroglobulin autoantibody, in autoimmune thyroid disease (Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Graves disease) it has a higher frequency of positive rate: about 80% of thyroiditis, about 60% of Graves disease. It can also be detected from other thyroid diseases and healthy people, but with lower titers. So TGAb is important for the quantitative detection of thyroid disease. In addition, there is some correlation between thyroid cancer and TGAb; TGAb rise is a sign of tumor progression. TPOAb as autoimmune antibody is an important indicator of diagnosis of autoimmune thyroid disease. Therefore, combined detection of TGAb, TPOAb is important for early diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune thyroid disease.
